I normally wouldn't bother with any IE but my Firefox is playing up as is my Google Chrome so IE is the only one i have at the moment. I still have IE7 but may as well upgrade if the compatability problem has been sorted. Anybody know if it has been yet?

Sure... Microsoft is gonna take their time to make sure that there are no issues when running a program last supported in 2005. That's top of their priority list.

To the best of my knowledge, the dvd shrink and IE 8 problem is still a problem. Best to use IE 7.

From what I have read at other forums, the problem no longer exists.

I've also read less and less about this problem, and also read somewhere that it was solved.

Firsthand i wouldn't know as i use FireFox at home.

You mean to tell me that the developers for IE are gonna waste time making sure that there are no issues with running IE and DVD Shrink?

As for the solution that was found... Run DVD Shrink in Win 95/98 Compatibility Mode.

Sarky b@5t@rds like me know how to Google...

i think it is the developers for shrink not ie7 to do the fix tho ms might do it too. i usually use mamma.com to do searches before using google.
