I've just bought and installed a WinTV-HVR-1100 pci tv card. Basically it picks up analogue channels but not digital. The card scans the digital channels finds them and when i select the channels no picture/sound is displayed. I live in a freeview area, i also have a freeview digital box which picks up the digital channels with no problems. Im using the software supplied with the card to detect and scan for the channels. WinTV2000. I also have a feed from my main house aerial to the tv card. Cheers for the help in advance.
The only way to watch the digital channels would be to hook your cable box to the tv tuner card and select the channel you want to watch on the cable box. The digital channels have to be decoded through your cable box.
The tv card is an analogue/digital capable card. So with my aerial plugged into it i should be able to receive, freeview + analogue. I think its something to do with the software, is there any alternate software i could use apart from the supplied software.
As far as I know Hauppauge cards only use WinTV2000 software. Only option I can think of would be to go to their website and see if there is an update.
