Hi, I have a Hauppauge WinTV USB unit that I use on my laptop. I have digital cable in my home along with a box that processed the incoming signal. My problem is that I can't seem to get the WinTV unit to scan for stations, only a few. Does the WinTV require analog input from the cable? Any help would be much appreciated! maddog13
Use at least a 1.5ghz splitter off the cable box and run it to the USB tuner. Only one prob ... you can only watch the channel on your box ... you have to switch the box to record channels, unless you go analog ...
