I have a radeon x300 128mb in my computer. I have iot hooked up to a sony bravia through dvi to hdmi. When I go to the input on my tv, (hdmi 2), there is a black screen but if i go to my computer and go to display properties, then settings, advanced, then displays. it shows power going to me monitor and tv. if the monitor is set up as the primary or secondary it doesn't matter but i have to change it and then it refreshes and it comes on the tv also. if i turn off my tv when i turn it back on i have to refresh the signal again. i also have aonther tv hooked up through s video and i never have to refresh it. just change the power from the sony lcd to my little tv. I imagine this is something my tv is causing but i can find no settings in the tv menu that will let me fix this. thanks for any input.
I think it may be the TV. Because you are using the HDMI port, it sounds like a HDCP handshake issue. Because when you refresh the signal, the picture comes back. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hdcp
