I seem to be getting a constant buzzing sound from the speakers whenever i play anything on it like movies or music sound is coming out but with interference. using 2 speakers in a 6 speaker sound card. drivers are all correct as well as the codecs. any ideas what may be causing this? when headphones are connected i get the same sound as well.
Because the ear phones sound bad the problem is in the sound card or before. Movies and music use different software. How about a CD and DVD? If they are bad it is the card. Try removing all the inputs and out puts to the card. I have seen a bad (poorly grounded) input make the card buzz. If that doesn't help buy a card from a store that will let you return it. See if the new card helps the speakers after you disable the old sound system.
