    Hi,

    Im using imtoo's software (DVD Creator) to convert my multi format files to DVD.

    There is this one particular file Im having trouble with.

    Its a Xivd file. I go through the process of converting and it takes it time to convert. About half way through the process I get an error message saying that DVD compilation not complete. Now it creates 1 vob file in the temp folder size of about 3.0GB and there is another small vob files, but as dvd creator users know, in the DVD folder it creats multiple vob files among other files (Im assuming audio files).

    Now when I open the Xivd.avi files to watch it on my Windows Media player, the video file works no problem, but when I go to convert the file to DVD it does not let me.

    I have converted many files in the past with this software, infact I converted 3 others files days before this one, and they worked perfectly (burnt onto my DVD media, usinf DVD/R-) but for some reason on this file it keep giving me error messages.

    Anyone has any clue what I might be doing wrong, and or if Im missing something.

    Thank you.

    is there a possibility that you can download avicodec, run your file through it and then copy and paste the file properties into your next post so that we can see them

    Sorry, I never used Imtoo.
    I used TMPGenc or CCE.
    Read http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/400052 . Usually the "DVD ceration" is made in 2 steps:

    1) conversion;
    2) authoring.

    usually the conversion can create a 3-4 GB movie, but authoring (e.g. IFOEdit) creates 4 or 5 VOB files (max 1 GB large).
