    I’m having a problem with Nero on my machine. Basically I updated to a new motherboard so that I could have more mem. slots. Now I’m getting a bunch of errors. I reloaded xp pro and all of my programs so that everything would be a fresh install. I have a plextor DVDr PX-716AL. I downloaded the new firmware for it when I was using the old motherboard. After installing everything I ran the firmware program again. I can play a movie, but the problem comes when I try to burn a dvd. I’m running Nero 6 with all of the updates. When I try to burn a dvd I get an error that reads Nero recode 2 encountered an error and cannot continue. Failed to read from the file TVS_o1-02.VOB.. When I reloaded I ended up with Incd, drag and drop, and roxio easy media creator 7 basic dvd edition. I uninstalled incd, drag and drop, but roxio gives me an unable to find certificate file error on a pop up that says Sever at the top. When I hit ok I get a could not open the certificate reading DLL. I ran the incd nero cleaning tool and the roxio registry cleaning tool. None of them seem to help. I also ran a scandisk to see if I could find any errors. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

    You are playing with fire. Nero and roxio are always in disagreement so to speak. In other word, you cannot have both roxio and nero on the same pc it will crash.... Uninstall nero and roxio. Download crap cleaner from here http://www.ccleaner.com/update/?v=1.27.242&l=1033 and do a clean up. Re-install nero again. Do not install roxio becos it is a crappy software. Failed to read from TVS-01-02.VOB can be the dvd you are having are having bad sector or CRC error or it could be a new protection that your programme cannot handle.Download anydvd the latest version and try again. A word of advice do not install incd becos it will interrupt your burning process. Uninstall roxio first and reboot and then uninstall nero and reboot and do a clean up with crap cleaner and try again.

    Thanks for the input. I know roxio would cause a problem, the problem I'm having is getting rid of it. I'm going to give crap cleaner a try and see if that works. I'm sure the DVD is good. I made a copy of it right before I put the new motherboard in.

    I'm having almost the same problem. Thing is, I had uninstalled Roxio and I had to use a restore point for another reason. Once I stayed at the restore point, whenever I try to move any file into another file, or delete an image, anything of the sort, I get a pop-up of Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 Basic DVD Edition trying to install itself but it errors. It wants to do it twice. (Pop-up, I click cancel, Pop-up, cancel again.) Here are images of what I get when I keep trying to uninstall it.

    I already tried using that CrapCleaner thing.. And I had tried two other registry cleaners as well... Is there anything else I could do? Its really annoying. x.X;

    Your patience is greatly appreciated~! <3
