i am using nero software and an hp dvd 840 writer and am using sony 4x media and downloading my movies from limewire- i burned a few movies fine but this morning when i tried to burn jackass 2 it says it will take 261 hours to burn - so i thought maybe it was just jackass movie - so then i tried harry potter - and it says it will take 301 hours - why would it say this - i would print the log but i aborted the burn after a few minutes

    thank you

kmwright, Sounds like an isp issue, will they CHOKE/THROTTLE down your download speed if you go over a certain limit of MB's? Some isp's will do this others don't care, they just charge you by each MB you download. Worth a looking into?

    Cheers Kelli.

Oops, I got that one wrong didn't I, sorry 'bout that. At the risk of making a coaster, try burning the movie again and leave it for more than a few minutes, to see if the estimated time adjusts itself.
I use dvdshrink mainly, and there are the odd occaisions it will give a ridiculous burning time also. Double check that all the settings for NERO are the same as last time. Wish I could help further.

    All the best.

@ptkut, LOL is right, but I remember burning a spiderman animation movie for my youngest, and I swear that I could have ripped my face off in the time it took. Needless to say he's got more than ONE dvd of DEAR OLD SPIDYMAN. God I thought the whole thing would never end.

    Cheers.
