I'm having problems using dvd copy 3. When it asks for source I try to put my D:/ drive which is my dvd- rom It does not see the movie . I've tried several different movies and it doesn't see them. Funny thing I just downloaded DVD43 and all of a sudden this started happening. Yesterday when I tried using copy 3 it saw the movie but, couldn't copy it because it was protected. So I'm trying to find a free program that will break the protection code and work with copy 3 . I'm trying to use the trial version of DVD Copy 3.
dabig25, Try ripping the dvd with dvd decrypter and then load that file into DVDCopy3 as the sorce. You'll have to click on the little folder and mag. glass on the right side then locate your folder. Mort
Yep... just like Mort said; you should be able to browse the Target and Source via the Camera like and mag. glass. It should be simple. By the way, how do you experts in here post a "printscreen" picture anyways?
Glad to see ya got DVDCopy3 up n runnin. I think you will be impressed with the vidio quality as well. Note: DVDCopy3 burns at max speed as determined by what your media and burner are rated at. If you want to slow the burn to 4x or slower, make an empty folder on your hdd and then select it as the target then burn the folder with nero or other burning app. alkohol, I'm no expert by any means, but you have to use an image hosting website. I use photobucket but there are several others too. Mort
went on intervideo website. what's the big diiference between the Gold version & the Platnium version ??
dabig25, You will probably be ok to just let DVDCopy3's burning engine do the burn, but I was reading on another thread that you have a phillips dvdrw and some of them will burn some 4x rated media at 8x. This doesn't bother some of the high quality media. I have found that 4x rated Ricohjpn media actually burns better at 8x. Make a couple backups useing Copy3's burn engine and see what kind of results you get. If you have any playback problems, try the other method above and lower the burn speed to 4x or lower. Good luck and let me know how you do. Marty
Mort, I spoke too soon. After using decrypter with DVD Copy 3. The movie will not play on any of my stand alone and cpu dvd players, movie won't even open.
Did you downloaded "DirectX 9" also, it was required by InterVideo Dvd Copy 3. Perhaps, try with another good brand disc. So far I'm doing good backing up successfully and was able to play with any of my home stand alone dvd players and on my computer. The difference in Platinum and Gold is that the Platinum can back up DVD9 and it can merge dvd image files, but not the Gold.
Yeah like alkohol said you need directX. Here's the link. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.aspx If that doesn't work try some different media, preferably dvd+r booktyped dvd-rom. I quit useing G04's due to inconsistancy. Marty
I don't have a registered version of XP on my pc. I ordered one a while ago and waiting to re-download my OS. So I guess I can't download it till then. I tried and it said that I don't have a verified version.
Mort81, I was finally able to get around it and download directx. I don't see the program though on my pc. Do I have to open it when using dvd copy 3, or does it just automatically run in the background ??
It runs in the background and you don't even know it's there. Here's some definitions for DirectX. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&oi=defmore&q=define:DirectX
Mort, Having problems again. Downloaded DirectX, still don't see it on my pc. You said it runs in the background. I burned with DVD Decrypter to my hard drive then used dvd copy 3 to put it on disk. After it says it's complete. I took disc out and my standalone's and dvd rom don't see the disc. What am I doing wrong ???? Using Ridata 8X dvd-r's , never had a problem with shrink.
You won't see DirectX on yor pc, It's like a driver, there is away to check for it but I don't remember how. Does the disc play on the dvdrw that you used to burn it with? I don't know what you've got wrong, must be a software conflict. You might try CloneDVD2, It's almost as good as DVDCopy3 IMO and I think it has a 3 week free trial period. Not sure what you got dude. DVD Shrink you say works ok? Keep us posted and good luck.
I do have DVD Clone 2 also on my pc (own it) . Do you think that Clone has better picture quality than Shrink. Can I also burn with DVD Decrypter and use Clone to put it onto disk ???
