    hi guys,
i got a problem with nero recode..iam trying to convert a dvd movie so i can view it on the videoipod..I know it has to be in mp4 and all that..the movie is Collateral..this is my backup copy so theres no encytion on the disc..the problem is that when I do convert and its done...I view it on my computer and the picture is horrible..its even bad then some bootlegs....I am using Real time encoding not 2 pass encoding..is that the problem?? Should I rip the dvd using dvd decrpter to the HD or should use nero recode straight?? Any suggestions would be helpful...THANKS

I know what you mean by horrible...the pictue frames and images freeze, and color changes...horrible! There's one button you need to select in order to avoid this: At the Video Settings, under mpeg4 encoder, click "Advanced," then check the box--"...Quicktime compatibility." It sounds and looks great on the video ipod...Believe me, the Apple store manager dropped his jaw when I showed him 10 full length movies on my black 60 gigger the day these ipods opened at stores--I got mine the day before direct from Apple post-marked from China...laser etched...how sweet it is! Enjoy!
