I've recently purhased a new starview box and I'm having some problems. When I installed the software and then all the channels, turned the key EMU on, and tried to view the channels, it acts as though the key EMU is off. Blank screen, but the channel list is still there. Also there is no signal. Also, normally when you turn on the starview box, an opening screen appears with the box logo. This doesnt happen with this box, it just goes straight to channel 1.

I have tried another box on the same TV, ariel etc... and it works fine so i think its a problem with the box. I can't even reset the box as it asks for a password, i put in 0000, and it doesnt allow it. I have not changed the pasword from its default setting.

Is there any other way to reset the box, so i can try to re-install the software again? Or has anyone else got any suggestions? Thanks, Mck.

    First , is it a Starvi*w 1 or Starvi*w 2 "THE B0X" ?

Press Menu > System Information and tell me what the API is please as it sounds like the wrong firmware is installed

Also are you in Ireland or UK

    Master code is 1668

You will need 4.50 firmware for "THE B0X" as this will auto roll the codes for you

    The 4.00 firmware is for Starvi*w 1

    Hope this helps

Hi dubmick, you can get it from Eamo's library, see the link at the end of this. It's in the folder named TheBox, then the firmware folder.
