    Hello,

I'm fairly new to the world of ripping, encoding etc. but I decided to burn one of my movies onto DVD, so I used this guide:

    http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm

I am up to the step where you load up TMPGENc and browse for the Video, but when I select it, it comes up with the error:

File "C:/etc/etc/etc/Movie.avi" can not open or unsupported.

I've checked the stickies, but the only problem I see people are having is wit Audio, and my audio is fine, the video however.

Does anyone know how I can get around this? I can watch the video as I have the required Codec, but TMPGENc isn't accepting it?

For referrence, here is the Video Detais from AVIcodec:
    Video : 634 MB, 619 Kbps, 23.976 fps, 512*280 (16:9), DX50 = DivXNetworks Divx v5, Supported

    Thanks in advance.

I would install all codecs that you have installed and download and install CombinedCommunity \CodecPack http://www.kickassanime.org/wiki/index.php?title=Compack#Latest_CCCP_.28aka._Get_It_Here.21.29
After that try to add your file in TMPGENc.IF that don't work you should try frameserving the file.

If your just starting off look into The FilmMachine nice little program.I normally frameserve the avi file with avs then add it to CCE SP 2.5 and make my mpeg2 files.
