I'm using nero 6, DVD shrink and my burner is a NEC-DVD RW ND-3550A 1.05 never had a problem burning regardless of wich DVD+R I purchased. About 3 three weeks ago every attempt to burn its unsuccessful. DVD shrink will open the dvd movie go throught its process go through "back up" but when its time to insert the blank disc and its starts burning it, it freezes at around 19% every time. The computer won't response to any command and I have to re-set it every time. Can anyone help?
I have the same burner as you. Firmware 1.07 is available: http://www.sonynec-optiarc.eu/en/support-service/downloads/fw_dvd-writer-nd-series.html Also, make sure the DMA is still on. Reinstall DVD Shrink.
