so i have tried to use the dvd shrink and selected open files and when i did it seemed like it was going to work until this came up.
DVD SHRINK encountered an error and cannot continue. Failed to real file C:\Documents_Settings\HP_Administrator\Desktop\Assault_on_Precinct_13\Disc1Video_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB

Invalid access to memory location. Then i have to select ok. Is there another way that i can make an ISO file out of this movie so i can back it up with dvd decrypter?

    thx.

If you had successfully ripped the movie to harddisk with dvd43 running, then the movie should be free of region code and copy protection, and any regular burning program (e.g. Nero) should be able to copy it to dvd. So I'm not sure why Shrink would be having trouble reading the movie.

Anyway, you may try again with e.g. Nero Recode:

Run Recode, select 'copy entire dvd to dvd', then 'import dvd', then go highlight the video_ts folder of the movie, and follow from there.

    Good luck!
