I tried the other day and gave up...I am having troube with some of the older movies....(Forest Gump and Cast Away)...Both go nearly 1/2 way then give me an error message and that I should clean the disk....The Cast Away movie is brand new and nothing on it. Could some one please help me. I just removed and reinstalled both AnyDVD and Clone DVD2.

My anyDVD is recent. I uninstalled and reinstalled tonight with the most current version. I don't have shrink DVD. I don't know how to get it. These are the only 2 I have had trouble with, It amazes me to download a 2006 movie with no trouble and have trouble with a movie that is 10 years old.

well you must be doing someting wrong, i have done theese movie, you might take the movie back and get a new one it might be a bad press, also i would edit out the point that you made that you downloaded a 2006 movie unless you paid for it, it is a no no, also you should be able to get shrink here sust search shrink and you should be able to get a download it is free, hope that helps

I can't imagine what I am doing wrong. I have burned several. With the regards to "download" I meant burn from my DVDS. I don't know why but I always refer to burning a DVD as downloading. My mistake. But what can I posssibly be doing wrong?

I had this problem also, but not backing up the ones your trying to. I found that there was nothing wrong with the disc'x or the programs. My DVD burner was on the edge of going to the land that all dead dvd burners go --i.e. file 13 --

I replaced it, and everything fine.

    Just something else to consider....

I guess you could say it depends on how much you use the burner. Burners are generally good for about 500 to 600 burns. Then the laser lens starts to get screwed up, not only in burning but in reading as well.

A new burner thats fairly good (I use memerox dvd+/- duel with lightscribe and purchased 3 of them when on sale at our local staples) will run betwen 40 and 60 bucks.

    Good luck.

If that is the problem......then how do you install that or is it an external hardware>?
