I’m looking to get a TV card which supports 1080p High definition format, I have searched and cart seem to find any, Just wondering is there any available for the PC? It is for the Xbox360. I know the Xbox only supports 1080i but I’m just wondering because the PS3 will be 1080p. Unless it the xbox360 has a DVI cable which I can buy? Thanx
NVIDIA GPUs from the 6600GT and upwards will be able to handle full bitrate, 1080p content. The ATI X1800 can also handle 1080p.
i don't get your question. why do you want to connect a 360 to a pc just to get hd? you connect the xbox 360 directly to the hdtv to play games in 720p or 1080i. i have my 360 hooked to a samsung dlp and it outputs 1080i thru component. the samsung (HLR6178W) supports 1080p but the 360 has a max output of 1080i. the picture is still awesome and beats any console to date. at this time the 360 does not support 1080p and dvi/hdmi. maybe in the future? see this interview with tom holmdahl of microsoft's xbox product group: http://interviews.teamxbox.com/xbox/1190/Xbox-360-Interview-Todd-Holmdahl/p1/ btw - one of the hdmi inputs on the samsung is unused and is reserved for the ps3 when it comes out.
Thanks, well I don’t have a HD TV at the moment and my TFT out puts a high resolution display, to see the full potential of the xbox360. Other TV cards/input cards support s-video and normal video-in which you know, is only supports normal TV resolutions, that’s why I thought if there’s a HD TV card out there or a capture device. Ps cant wait till the ps3 comes out!!!
you can connect the 360 to your pc monitor with the optional vga cable: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...CategoryId=pcmcat66900050003&id=1126591946321
