Can you tell me what resolution over the air, HD brodcasts are brodcast in? When i say over the air i mean the free local kind of tv, not cable or satilite.
Resolutions are at the broadcasters discretion. Meaning that each program will be one of three resoultions. While Analog tv only has one resolution (480 NTSC) DTV has several. The main choices are: 480i (Standard Def) 720p (High Def) and 1080i (High Def) Check-out this site for programs that are available in HD for free in your area! http://www.checkhd.com/addressentry.aspx?ReturnUrl=/Default.aspx For everything you need to know, start here... http://dtv.gov/whatisdtv.html End here... http://www.fcc.gov/dtv/ Ced
Thanks for the information it has helped alot and the link for the tv guide is very cool too. But unfortunatly i am stuck once again....... Im kinda strapped for cash so do u think this tv would be a good buy? http://www1.bottomdollar.com/search_techspecs_full.php/masterid=9343462 It dosent say anything about displaying 720 (i or p)! So what happens if a program is being brodcast in HD but is olny being brodcast in 720 (i or p)? Will the tv display it in 480i or will it upconvert it to 1080i?
