hi,i have just got a hd combo lan box and i am confused as to set it up!
i have been through the forum with a toothpick and it confuses me more!
i follow the link and see the tutorial,it mention the carling 1.01 firmware and yet in the uk files link it is differant firmware(carling 0.712.uad) and halfway through the tutorial it mentions the carling 1.01 again,
i used the 0712 and the box started to reboot but never restarted so i done maually and after spending hours trying to figure out how to set it up as the tutorial is nothing like what comes up on my screen i get going, now i recieve all the channels and some hd channels but no sly hd channels or 1 or 2 other hd channels,
have i installed the right firmware?
do i need to do something else?
or is it just a server issue? as i know starview does have issues often!
    thanx.
p.s i only have cable plugged in and no dish and cable is selected in the menu.

ok, i wondered in case its a area problem im in dumbarton, glasgow.
so fae wat ya have put you have installed the carling 0712 firmware and yer not getting some HD channels. i guess you aint getting E4 Hd, syfy HD, sky one HD, all movies in HD and all sly sports in HD and prob the new BBC one Hd. ill also guess that when you goto one of the non working channels and ya press the info button it dont have the HD icon almost as if the box dont get enough infomation for the starview to know yer on an HD channel.
Now after all that i dont have an answer for that :( i have looked for months but had no joy, i have been told my signal strenght is too high which was at 98% so was adviced to get an atenuator to reduce the signal to 75-80% which i did or to remove any signal splitters that i may have which i did but still have no joys wae HD. if you ever get an answer to it id love to here how ya did it so i can try get this sorted
