hi everyone. I have a big HD wmv file and was wondering if its possible to b urn it on dvd and play it on 360? If yes,how can I burn it with Nero....or other software? dvd-rom(iso) - dvd-rom (boot)and so on....what option is needed? Please help.........
Yes it possible as long as it can fit on the DVD. Burn it UDF form. ISO won't work because it has a 2GB file size limit. Also chose UDF and not UDF/ISO if using Nero.
Or you can do what I do and just stream it to the 360 wireless or wired. I can do 720P Wireless but 1080P HD files skips and buffers etc...but wired works fine with WMVHD 1080P
Personally I like burning them to DVDs if they fit so I can watch them again later if the mood strikes me. GBs per blanks is generally cheaper than GBs per hard drives.
streaming works but have little HD space. Tried burning using Nero.....dvd5 works fine but for some strange reason my drive wont load dvd9 (verbatim) discs with udf option. Not the first time my crappy dvd-drive gives me problems.......
What do you see when you put the disc in. It should say mixed media disc and you watch the video, by going to the video blade and switching to the disc drive as your video source.
Sorry bad explained by me. what I meant was that my dvd writer wont accept dvd9 discs in UDF option in Nero. I tested with sample file on dvd5 and it burned fine and played great on 360.
not sure what you meant but I selected "new compilation" in NERO then UDF not UFD-ISO....is there any other way?
You know I used to burn them with Nero, but find it easier to burn them with the latest version of ImgBurn. You just go into EZ mode picker and select Write Files / Folders to Disc. Pick the file and ImgBurn does all the UDF settings automatically.
thanks ImgBurn worked fine Can you recommend a software that can convert mkv and other HD type files to the 360 friendly wmv format?
