HDAdvance 2.0 and 160gig HDD only shows 149gigs?

    hey guys,
    I got a HDAdvance, network adapter, and a seagate 160gig HDD. I installed the hdd, put in the HDAdvance 2.0 dvd, it detected the hdd and formatted it. when it was done it is only showing 149 gigs total capacity and 146 gigs free space.

    Question:
    Is this normal ? is the difference in space due to the file system when formatted ?

    160gig labeled hd's are actually 149 gigabytes.
