I would need to do something with a Maxtor Ares HDD that returns 4h error register to everything (even low-level format). That means "command aborted, invalid parameter, etc.". This also means the computer can't boot while I don't have the auto-detect turned off because of "... drive fail" error.
I've been told that the computer had a virus before and they tought that the mainboard BIOS have been damaged. Now I could test it with other hardware and the HDD causes the error.
Now I think, that the HDD's bios have been overwritten/damaged, and I would need some tool to try to repair it. If there is no other way to obtain a bios, I could get a same drive to download it, but it would be troublesome. But anyway I don't have any tool to read/write HDD bios.

If you have any routine in this, or you can help anything, post it plz. If you've just seen a program like this, and you can only post a link, that would be great help too. If you think that that HDD can be repaired through any other way, post that too. I know that it may not be the BIOS, but that's my primary tip.
    Thanks for any help!
