im installing my old hdd onto my cpu, its 200 gigs and i took it out and now i want to put it back in. Problem is that is that it's not being seen by the computer. It's an SATA(i think thats what the type is called) type of HDD. I know i put it in correctly but i can't figure out why it's not working. When the computer turns on i can feel the vibration on the HDD and hear the sound comming from it so i know its working to some extent but the computer just won't recognize it being there. The HDD is a Seagate barracuda 7200.9

So do any of you know whats going on?

SATA drives dont have slection option since each drive has its own cable. Have you gone into the bios and see if it shows up there? Is your main drive an SATA (thin red cable) or IDE (wide flat cable)?
