Hi, I have been reviewing the thread about playing games from HDD and I have a v5/6 ps2. I found a network adapter for a reasonable price and now i wanted to know what kind of hard drive I should get. I was looking at besbuy.com, circuitcity.com and they all start at about $70+. Also one more question is how do i go about hooking up the HDD to my ps2? Do I need the long cable that looks like a giant piece of tape? (ide cable i believe). And to put games on it i will have to bust open my pc and connect it to download games on there? Thank You!
http://ps2drives.x-pec.com/?p=list hard drive compatibility list. http://ps2drives.x-pec.com/?p=ps2_installation how to install and unless you have a mod chip that can run a hard drive you will also need HD Loader or HD Advance. You can either get the discs or use a memory card exploit. http://www.exploitstation.com/index.php?page=faq http://www.exploitstation.com/index.php?page=elfs If you have the ability to buy online check out Newegg.com, tigerdirect.com and Frys.com you may be able to get more for your money then a retail store like Best Buy or Circuit City
