I want to trade my 1.6b XBOX with my friends 1.1 XBOX because it's easier to install my spider chip on his board. anyways, I want to put his original stock 8gb hdd in my XBOX, but I get an error 6...i assume because his hdd doesnt have the software support for my XBOX's newer hardware. I have EVO X on his HDD.... so how can i put it in my xbox. I checked, and the model numbers on his HDD are the same as my stock HDD. Thanks P.S. will my xbox recognize hiss hdd if i unlock it...? I'm not sure
the xbox must be modded to switch hd's...if you unlock the drive it will work in a modded xbox...the easiest solution to your problem is to trade straight up xbox for xbox(everything) then use a memory card and transfer all his stuff from his hd, to your hd(which is his now). if you want to switch hd's you will have to put the chip in each box twice...once to unlock the hd, then once to lock the hd again.
