I am not able to record from hard drive to dvd. I have trie all different types on media and never works. I have tried Ritex -r, Sony +r/+rw, and Taiyo Yuden -r which Lite on recommended for this burner. When I insert dvd it scans and scans then ejects disk. If I go to the browser and hit copty on video file it says please wait then comes up with Incompatable disk format please insert compatible disk. I have tried all firmware updates that have come out and no fix. Any help would be appreciated. No other problems,it works great except this.
Sounds like a bad DVD drive in the recorder. I would try doing an exchange. Also, make sure the blank DVD is being initialized properly. Sometimes when you place the disc in the recorder, it will not initialize. Just manually do it in the menu.
i did notice when i hit record on tv to record what was on at the time i was able to record to dvd but when it is timer recorded it does not record. I there anything about not being able to record to dvd if you record it to hdd in hq. would lower quality recording work from hdd to dvd. I thought you are able to fit 120min on a dvd in hq. thank you any insight would be more than helpfull.
