I recently softmodded my xbox and unlocked the retail hdd. I did not relock it and now i get error 5 when i load the box. is there a way i can lock the retail hd without a modchip. I've been looking to see if there was a way to do it and most tutorials require you to back up c and e and transfer the info to the bigger hd to get the hdd to load. Please help!
I guess the better question would be if i could lock the hard drive by using the iso and pc without having to erase the hd. Can somebody help me it would be greatly appreciated.
Yes I can. Use your 007AUF, Mechassult or Spintercell Game Hack your way back into Evox! After which you may need to go to #xbins on mirc efnet Server! and download a Program called Configmagic. Since the Sotmod Hacks AFAICR only contain Evox and nothing else you will most likely have to FTP it up to the XBOX! afterwhich you should then be able to access it thought the Applications Menu. IIRC you just need to press the button to Lock the HDD and it will do so with the user Pass Generated between your XBOX™ S/N On-Line Gameing Number and the HDD S/N. It will also write out the Master Pass out as TeamAssembly. The best advice I could give you! Once you actually get ConfigMagic up and running. Is to Write down your HDD-Key and then lock that info up somewhere you can find it if you ever wish to eventualy wish to unlock it again.
