my friend just bought a 400gb seagate hdd and after putting all of his files on it he left it on and connected to his computer. when he came back his computer had shut off because of a dead battery and now when he hooks the hard drive up it wont mount. any suggestions on how to fix this or at least get the data off of it?

    So it's a External HDD?

Did it come with a driver CD?

Also what do you mean it has a dead battery is it a laptop?
