Subjects says it all! I have nero 8 with the blu/HD plugin and when I watch any HDDVD movie it only plays in DD and the center channel comes out the right speaker (right speaker comes out the right rear, right rear comes out the left rear, and so forth - no I will not move my TV over the right speaker JK). Nero 8.3.2.1.

    Anyway to fix this?

That would be a good idea but I think it would mess all my other componets up (Other HDDVD player, Sat). I am running my Computer to my AV Receiver, to my projector. The sound is coming out my computer SPDIF (realtek), and my video is coming out analog componnet from the graphics card (HD2600 XT). I have updated all my drivers, software, everything. It sounds like either the Nero DD codec is messing up, or...? When I watch a DVD in Nero the surround sound is great, but when I put in a HDDVD it gets a little messed up. If I could fix this I would have but a good gaming, movie computer.

Any help would be great, Thanks!

Go in control panel and make sure you’ve got the sound options for output SPDIF
And check the speaker setup the options will be under your sound card realtek
If running windows xp it doesn’t support 7.1 sound output

I did both, and found under my Sound card Prop. I did not have some settings checked (DTS and windows 9) but this did not solved the problem. Also, I did make sure SPDIF was checked under Nero's settings.

I have only 2 other people posting the same problems but no one ever has a solution.

Thanks for helping me out, any other ideas?

Sweet I did not know that Asus made this!!!! Realtek comes with a software suite like the one your using from Asus, do I need to uninstall the driver from realtek and the software suite and install Asus or just uninstall the suite from realtek and install the one from Asus.

Before I do this is this going to work? Are you guys using Nero 8 and it works for you?

I just got a Blu-ray from BBuster so I am going to check to make sure the sound works for Blu.

OK the Juno movie will not work in Nero, PDVD, or Corel. Nero says I need to update my player (which is brand new), PDVD just freezes, and Corel says that because of the way I am connecting to my projector I cannot watch the movie (Component). THis is really starting to tick me off! I have spend way to much money for this crap and sony's BS.

Plus in WinDvd it does not output through my SPDIF and is not even an option. GRRRRRRR!!!

Any thoughts? I am going install Asus's software bundle in a minute.

hmmm the actual playing a blueray is something else, some systems can some cant like 50/50 also its dependant on your hardware too... also the right codecs installed.

what version powerdvd you running v8?

try VLC that is an awesome free player, better than the others

also nero has a HD readiness test for your pc... (think you may need plugin serials installed)
