HDLoader MC exploit with offical sony hdd

i wanna know if i can follow this guide http://www.hdloader.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1386 i found here but use a sony hdd reason i ask is cause im not sure if the sony ps2 hdd has a jumper setting? if so how do i change it so i can use this guide
