If your tv has an HDMI input on it, then yes, it will support HDMI 1.3. Shouldn't matter what version of HDMI cable you are using as long as it's just for video as newer cables such as 1.3 have audio requirements. Like if you have a device that supports the audio output of Dolby TrueHD, 1.0 doesn't have those capabilities.
Thank you goodswipe, i just got a 4 input 1 output hdmi switch 1.3b so that i can hook up everything from now on hdmi, i'm thinking that the hdmi cables i have will work with the hdmi 1.3b switch i just got is that true?
Yea everything should work, even if you were using a 1.0 rated cable and the device (hd-dvd player/blu-ray) you are using has specs that only a cable with a rating of 1.3 will be capable of playing those functions. The HDMI cable is a digital audio/video signal in one, thats all it is. Like I said before, some of your newer cables have support for these new HD audio signals, I don't believe older ones will be able to carry those signals but, you will still get a down converted audio signal.
