Is there a way to get the digital audio coming thru the HDMI to a 7.1 system that does not have a HDMI input. Is there a splitter of some sort that will split the digital audio signal off the HDMI Cable and out put the audio through Optical or Coaxial and then pass the HDMI to the monitor. In other words a device with a HDMI input and a Optical audio output as well as the HDMI output. All this because my Denon 7.1 system doesn't have an HDMI Input or output.
so hook up the digital audio out from your source to your receiver. You don't have to HDMI, what is your source?
