I've recently hooked up my computer to a new Mitsubishi WD-52825 dlp tv. However, once i set the image resolution to 720p, the image is slightly too large in all directions. I am using a ATI 9800 Pro with the DVI to HDMI.

    Thanks for any advice.

use the television and video card settings to scale it inwards. many screens scale automatically, but it is more than extremely common that resolutions will be out of place on any monitor. no monitor is set for any resolution other than one standard (generally 600p, 480p, or 768p).

I know thats what i have to do, unfortunatly the TV has no way of moving the image position(like your monitor). Is there any software our there that will allow me to resize the output of my video card?

i'm having the exact same problem. i have a samsung dlp 4667. you can't adjust the size on the tv and you can't adjust it on the video card cuz it won't let you. alot of friends tell me to use a program called powerstrip. i'm playing around with it but with no avail. please let me know any other solutions as well.

I've tried powerstrip but as i try to decrese the size of the image in powerstrip, the TV bugs out and blue screens. Once i reset everything, the image is too big again.

there simply seems to be a limit on what gets displayed..urgh.
