I just switched from Comcast to Dish Network. I can't get my surround sound to work. I ran an HDMI cable from my 50" Sony SXRD to the HDMI "out" slot on my Yamaha RXV2600 Receiver and ran another HDMI cable from the Dish Network box to the HDMI "In" slot 2 of the receiver. Sound only comes from the Center speaker. When I switch to the HDMI “In" slot 1 same reaction only I have to have the DVD function on instead of Cable Satellite. Any ideas on what I should do? If you can find a setup menu in the Dish STB, select Dolby Digital. I think this may be your problem. Also all programs, on all channels are not in Dolby, so the center is all you may get. Anyone with experience here please correct me if I am wrong.
