I would also like to know if there is a big time difference when running a HDMI cable from your receiver (sat or cable box) to your HD tv?
    any opinions????

HDMI looks better on my Samsung 720p DLP from my Comcast DCT6412 III. I will be getting a 1080p Sony SXRD and I predict HDMI will also be better than component.

HDMI is better than component, it is the best connection you can have right now

picture quality difference is huge especially if you are outputting from computer to tv via dvi/hdmi cable.

It depends on the quallity of the cable also. But I would rather have a pretty decent HDMI cable (like an Acoustic Research cable) than the most expencive component Monster cable.

monster cables are highly overpriced and other cheaper brands are jsut as comparable.

I recomend Acoustic Research, even though they are still expencive their not near as bad as Monster and IMO the quality is around the same, especially if you get the higher grade versions of the cables.
