HDTV 1080p gaming..?

    I have a 52" Samsung hdtv and am playing Xbox360 in 1080p mode and when I pay very close attention to a game I can see some scanlines in the background.. is this supposed to be or is it just me? is there any way to fix this? it's not very noticeable but you can see it in the background.
