Hi, I would just like to know a list of requirements that a projector needs to be able to show HDTV resolutions (720p)? As far as I know it should be XGA but Im not too sure how I connect a HDTV source to the projector? DVI? If thats true, would a HDMI to DVI cable work well in case the source only has a HDMI output? I was thinkin of gettin a Plasma/LCD but I want a MASSIVE screen and want to hook up my PC to it and play quite a bit of games as well. Right Choice? Thanks in advance, navi95
Native Resolution: 1366x768 Inputs: HD-Component and/or DVI-D (-HDCP) or HDMI (-HDCP) Yes. DVI-D/I and HDMI are compatible with each other. If your source only has an HDMI output and the projector only has DVI then your going to need a HDMI to DVI adapter (or vise versa) or cable. If your going to use the projectors speakers (not recommended) you will also need to run a pair of stereo audio cables. Yes. On a side note, the a plasma screen is excellent for video games and they can be bought at up to 70" but thoughs models will cost 10 times or more than a 720p projector and screen. Ced
would this be an ideal projector: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Infocus-SP500...857514299QQcategoryZ22610QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Yea it sounds perfect to me. The main thing with a projector though is the room it will be going in. Also the cost of ownership is high compared to there rear-projection counter parts since the bulbs (on average) cost more to replace. Ced
