Alright, I've had the PS3 set up to my old TV with component and surround sound. BUT I got HDMI and an HDTV. is there any way to hook up the surround sound, with the 1080P TV?

What receiver do you have (since you said you have surround sound) ? You could hook-up a lot of different ways. Best is to just use HDMI cables. Better quality and much less clutter as compared to component, optical digital ,etc.

Simplest is to run 1 hdmi cable from your PS3 to your Receiver.
(PS3 HDMI Output to Receiver HDMI Input)

Then run another hdmi cable from your receiver to your HDTV.
(Receiver HDMI Output to TV HDMI Input).

Run your wires from your Receiver to your speakers and your set. You can do the same with component cables instead of HDMI cables, but you'll get a lower resolution (1080i).
