hdtv/vcr question

    anyone know why when i playback a vcr cassette tape in my vcr on my hdtv the picture sorta flips/jumps and when i hook that same vcr up to a standard tv that same tape that i played in the vcr on my hdtv it the picture doesn't flip/jump....anyone know why it would do that on my hdtv and not on my standard tv?
