Hi Folks. I seem to have a bit of a problem with a set of headphones that I bought the other day, when I plug them into my LCD HDTV the sound comes out from the TV speakers a well as the headphones.I bought the headphones so that I could enjoy some telly in the wee hours and not annoy my neighbours.Has this happened to anyone else and if so how did you solve the problem.Oh my HDTV is an Acoustic Solutions TV but I ont know what model Your Hopefully BILL
There should be an option to turn the speakers off within the tv's menu. Check around under the sound options on the tv.
Hi thanks for the help.I looked at the audio menu for my tv but couldnt find anyway to switch of the speakers
Nothing under the audio menu? What is the model of you tv? You must have some low end tv or something, because MOST tv's come with this option. You know, if you ever wanted to add a surround sound system, you would be screwed because you would want to turn OFF those speakers on your tv and use only the front and back speakers.
yes your right i tried a set of pc 2.1 speakers and the sound was still comming through the tv speakers but i do think your advice abou the audio option is on the right track i'll try the accoustic solutions website.thanks for your help
ok does anyone know how to access the acoustic solutions website i get as far as the portal and then the page wont load my tv is an Acoustic Solutions LCD32805HD 32in I looked in my audio options menu again and there is definatley nothing about turning of the tv speakers
I managed to fix it.Under my sound opitions (you were right Drac)I have two volume sliders one for the headphone jack and one for the TV I just slid the tv's volume down to zero and adjusted the heaphone volume to a suitable level........BLISS! lol Thanks to all for the help BILL43
