Not really sure where this belongs, I'm looking for a set of 5.1 headphones (they don't need a microphone, standard headphones will do) to replace my existing Trust 751B set. They're very good sound quality wise overall, but they're starting to rattle a bit for the louder notes! I don't need perfect noise cancellation as I won't be taking them on the move (you can't do that with most 5.1 sets anyway!) but my experience tells me full size headphones pretty much do anyway. I'd ideally like a set with an actuator like the trust set, i.e. a set of 3.5mm leads from the sound card in, and a switchable setting to send them back out (3.5mm OK, Phono preferred) to speakers when I'm not using the headphones. High volume and Bass capacity is quite important (not the crummy "megabass" you get with earphones that is barely bass at all!) although I don't intend to blow my head off! Any products people know of that are good to get would be greatly appreciated. Looking to spend up to £50 if necessary, although that's twice as much as my current set. Thanks in advance
dont listen to things so loud and they wont rattle. as far as where to get them for that price im sorry i dont know im from the us
And how exactly was that (^^^) a helpful post? Anyway, Dunno exactly what you're after - I'm not a complete sound techy But makes of headphones I think are good and worth looking at are Sennheiser, Bose, Creative or Philips. http://www.bose.co.uk/GB/en/home-entertainment/headphones/index.jsp Any help?
Thanks for the offer, but noting the date of the post, I already came up with a solution: http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-ZM-RS6F-5-1-Channel-Surround-Sound-Headphones/dp/B0001OYMFO Not where I bought them, but these are what I got.
