hi ive been tyrying to fit a DVD-9 on to a standard 4.3gb DVD. ive used dvd shrink to compress it by getting rid of un-wanted features, that didnt work. i tried using nero recode and that also didnt work and after doing some research i found out that splitting the dvd-9 over 2 standard dvd's is the best idea. any one have any clues on how i can achieve this. Some of the commercial programs can do this for you. You can do it with DVD Shrink by using the Start-End controls in Reauthor mode. Their use is demonstrated near the end of this animated tutorial. http://www.dvdshrink.info/reauthor_intermediate.php Also see this guides which demos how to do it with IFOEdit (free): http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/ifoedit-2dvdrs.htm It can also be done with VOBBlanker (free): http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/guides.htm I'm sort of confused as to why compressing the video to a single disk didn't work. Do you mean the process failed or the quality was unacceptable? We can help if it's the former and maybe the latter as well. You could always make a full backup copy to a DL disk.
