    Hi,
I just noticed while playing around with tuneup utilities 2009 that there was a sudden decrease in the RAM of my computer. it dropped to 480MB from 720MB. The computer say's i cannot run windows XP professional in optimum speed(520MB). What's wrong? i can't work on anything. It's too slow. If anyone can give a good answer for this or explanation, i'll be very grateful. Thanks you guys!

how many ram chips do you have? I'm guessing you either have one 512 and one 256 or three 256 chips. I suppose is possible that your 256 chip has gone bad. Try removing your 256 chip and booting. check how much ram windows says you have. if its the same amount now, then the 256 stick might be bad. Then remove your 512 stick and install only your 256 stick. try booting off that and see if it works. if it won't boot, then that stick of ram is bad.
