    Dear AfterDawners,

So I recently purchased a DVI-D to HDMI cord and I plugged it into my EVGA 8800 GTS and on to my 47" LCD Prima TV. Accoding to the specs my Prima TV supports 1080p resolution and unfortunately it has no DVI input so the only way to plug my comp into the TV is via DVI-D to HDMI cord.

Anyways, I go into windows and change the resolution to 1080p. It changes the resolution but my desktop is wider then my screen and therefore everything is wider games etc.... Can anyone help? When I go into my PS3 desktop and plug it into the same television i'm trying to run my PC off of it says its running at 1080p. I'm no tech wizz but i'm pretty sure my TV can support 1080p. I can't seem to adjust the image with the Nvidia Control Panel. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your time.

So basically what you are saying is that games look stretched out? This doesn't sound like a resolution problem, sounds more like the settings on your tv. Check for the picture size settings in the tv's menu options - zoom1, zoom2, etc.
