Hello, sorry for the newbie question first of all.
I'm looking to get a DS but how would I about putting ROMS on it? Do I need a specific DS Model? It doesn't use CFW like a PSP does it? I know it's something to do with Flashcarts or something but there's so many different ones I wouldn't have a clue what one to get.
Also, how affordable and available are they in the Uk?

Sorry again for my question, any help would be appreciated though.
    Thanks.

DS is not the same as PSP , and yep, you need a flashcart as a adapter to connect your DS and the microSD card (all the roms are in it) .

You can't get anything related to flashcart in UK since they are illeagal to sell them in UK , you can only get it from online shop .

Since you are going to get the DS , you'd better choose 1:1 clone R4 (these is no original R4 any more) which works with WoodR4 firmware(the best compatibility, but only supports 1g/2g microSD card) . You can find it here

Supercard DSTwo is good too , the price is higher though . Here

    Ahh okay thanks :D
If it's a clone of an R4 though wont that cause problems? Also i've been looking at the AceKard 2i and it sounds nice but are these carts any good? I think I'll get maybe a 4gb SDcard and maybe an 8gb SDcard later on.
So I don't need any specific model of DS then? I was just looking to get a DS Lite or something really.
