    Hey
I accidentally formatted all my xbox drives thinking that it would erase the softmod and take my xbox back to its factory self. I was wrong and now i cant access the dashboard. I can still play games though but i just cant get to the dashboard. It just shows the green X.
    What should i do?

Okay did you perhaps save your eeprom file to your pc or some type of removal media, like I'm sure your directions told you to? If you did then you can follow the upgrade HDD FAQ and instead of ftping the files over to your pc and putting them into the C: folder, you would just put a fresh M$ dash in there and then creat two folders in the E: folder called UDATA and TDATA and then rebuild your HDD and lock it with the correct previously backed up eeprom file and put it back into the console and you would have a stock system again.. If you didn't save a copy of the eeprom file in a safe place, then you'll need an eeprom reader to get that most important file and then follow the upgrade HDD FAQ with the above mentioned changes.

Oh incase you don't know where to read these all important FAQs, they are here:

Hey Varnull, would that work? Would it re-install the most recent M$ dash? What about the contents of E:? Would it add the two subdirectories? Man if it did, that would be a great FAQ for people that format their drives accidently.

Hot swap into the drive (always make sure u reconnect the hd to the xbox before turning it off),
Download xhdm 1.9. That way you wont need the eeprom as long as its the original drive and follow the many tutorials out there on how to make a fresh drive. But its pretty simple once u burn the ISO. while ur in their u could also use xplorer 360 to copy your games exploit into udata.
