I have used nero express and then I tried nero recode to burn my movie. The picture is of good quality, but there's no audio.

Which sound stream has that AVI? Maybe AC3 and Nero cannot use it. Look it with VirtualDubMod (Stream___Stream List).
Make what I explained in http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/190445 and substitute the stream with a WAV, instead.
I cannot be more precise. I am against using Nero as encoder and thtefore I'm unable to know if there's a way to teach Nero to use strange format..

Ok, this is my siutation. I know what was wrong. The file had no sound. But now when I try to play on my Home DVD Player the sound is very low. First I tried WINAVI to convert to DVD. Then use Mainconcept and then TMP DVD author to author my DVD. I use nero express as my burning program. When I play it back on the screen the sound is very low.
