help back problem

i have just had a new chip put in my xbox and new software installed but when i try to play games they work for about 15mins then they either freeze or i get the message "the disk is dirty or damaged" i burn my back-ups using nero or dvd decrypter using ritek disc and a burn speed of 4x any help would be great.

 

You might just have a bad disk drive. What disk drive does ya xbox have in it?

lol. but anyway, your drive may not be liking the dvd's your using. From memory I think the thomson and philips dvd drives are a bit skitish when it comes to dvd -r's. Of course I could be totally wrong. lol

Nah, you're right.

Just try a different media brand but stick with -R for now. Change the media and make sure when you burn, you burn at slow speeds. I recommend nothing of 4x.
