    HELP PLEASE!!!!

I have been trying to make a PS2 game for a while now.
My PS2 is chipped with AR2 V2 replay chip.
I have downloaded x-men legends 2 (NTSC) iso. Its around 1.3 GB.
I have extracted the files with isobuster into a folder.

The came up with this order.

    LICENSE
    MODULES
    MOVIES
    NETWORK
    SOUNDS
    Z
    DATAOLAY.BIN
    DNASOLAY.BIN
    SLUS_211.38
    SYSTEM.CNF
    XMENSAVE.ICN

I then opened Nero burner. Used the TAB with DVD (UDF/ISO).
Made a new project. I dragged the above files from the folder in that order (as they appeared on ISOBUSTER). then I burned with x2 speed on a verbatim DVD-R.

    THIS DOES NOT WORK.
Is there something i missed out?
Please someone tell me how to do it using NERO please!!!!
Is there something wrong with my PS2? Is it the game??

You don't extract the files from the iso... just burn the iso with nero image burning program.

this should just be a straight burn using dvd decrypter(try 2 or 2.4x), no need for any messin with the iso.

    Thanks for the replies.
When I burn using NERO which tab do use to burn the downloaded iso?
UDF/iso? or iso? or something else?
    Thanks again

The reason I told him nero is because that's what he was already using... no need to confuse him with having to learn to use something else at the minute.
To apollon1, as I said in my previous post use nero's image burning program.. so it will say something like burn image if you're using smartstart I think.

It is worth checking out how to use dvd decrpter... it's a brilliant program.
I usually use dvd decrypter in iso read mode to get an iso file on my hard drive. Then I burn the iso with nero image burning program at 4x on 8x max media (check my sig for some types of good media) or you can also use dvd decrypter to burn in iso write mode at 4x. Either way is usually good..but I seem to get better results with nero.

    good luck

    Thanks for your replies.
Now I tried to use Nero and the writing process failed and it said
    \ POwer Calibration error

Then I tried to use decrypter and again it said Power calibration error.
What does that mean? Does anyone know? I used Verbatim blanc discs btw and MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-811

Ok I found out that it means that the media im copying onto are not good enough. Now before i was using Imation and it did manage to burn but the game didnt load up. People were telling me change the media thats why its not working. Went and bought loads of verbatim and now it won't even burn.
I tried again the imation with the way paddymail said and it burned but when i tried to load the game. It froze while it was loading at a black screen :(

With DVD decrypter on Imation it burns but the game doesnt work at all.

PLEASE help. ANY Suggestions. Any reason why the game Froze??
The only other option i can think of is trying to burn the game on verbatim from a different dvd burner.

What type of media did you get... did you get verbatim dvd-r? then maybe your burner only burns dvd+r.
Don't use imation discs they are sh&t!!!
If dvd-r won't work in your burner then my suggestion would be to get a new burner.
How did you come to the conclusion that it's the media that's the problem? the last post said about it being a power calibration failure??

My burner burns DVD-R and yup I did get verbatim dvd-r.
Basically I looked what power calibration error meant in different web pages and apparently in has to do with the DVD burner reading the blank dvd. I'll try burning with verbatim again on a friends DVD burner and I'll let you guys know.

It's not the media that's the problem.. verbatim are really good.
It must be an issue with your drive.. try cleaning it first and see if that helps.. also, when you burn remember to turn off all the other applications that are running.

just to add my two cents in
Use good media, i use maxwell and it works like a charm. Also burn at 1 or 2x. Doing these things will help not burn out your ps2 laser as quickly. speaking from personal experience.

Once again horrible media rears it's ugly head. I'd even go out on a limb and say Memorex is better quality than Imation. People, avoid this God awful cheap media at all costs.

I dont understand how you ppl can do it and i cant!!
    WHY WHY WHY?
Do ps2 dont read dvd-r,?? is it dvd+r that i should use?
Is it the iso i downloaded??

Does your chip load other backups okay, or is it just this game that's causing you problems? Try burning at 4x. What are you burning the mds file, the iso, what?

yup my ps2 plays other backups ok. Although to be honest there is one I bought from one shop that is not playing.
I burned the iso file i downloaded which was around 1.7 GB on x2 speed.
Could it be the chip then. I got Action replay 2 mod chip. is it supposed to be a good one?
    Thanks again for the help
