    Help needed urgently - Winavi

Been using Winavi 7.1 for couple of months without any problem. All in a sudden getting problems like
'access violation", program shut down by itself etc.. I have the entire program uninstalled and tried
7.6 and 7.7 and though file conversion is OK but soundtrack on the output file is totally messed up.
Would somebody please help me out...thanks a bunch

Try going back to an older version of winavi or another program.

No earlier versions than 7.1? And yeah you could try uninstalling the codecs and checking they are up-to-date etc

I have tried uninstall/re-install winavi and reinstalled the latest version of K-lite 2.77 codec. The output converted file still the same, good in picture quality but no soundtrack with a noisy background. Any other suggestions please?

    thanks

What about the "access violation"? Did you remember the whole error message? Maybe there is something wrong with the softwre.
And when do the conversion make sure you have select "Direct AC3".
And also for rmvb file, you need right codec for it.

    You're just so professional...
-the error message is "access violation at address 77C2BA4E in module MSVCRT.DLL. write of address 0070428C."
-I'm using storm codec and believe the right codec is in place since I could play back .RM and .RMVB media files with window media player
-direct AC3 is checked by defult. didn't touch it.

The funny thing is that it used to be fine, but all in a sudden (couldn't recall what I have modified) the soundtrack totally disapped and replaced with a noisy/loud background.

    thanks again for your help.....

Oh,I sorry i'm not professional enough.I haven't seen the message like that, because of in "MSVCRT.DLL" module.I think the best way is send the message to supporter of winavi. They may know that. :)
