For the past few months (i stoped for 2 months as i bought backed-up 360 games) ive been trying to burn and play 360 isos, but so far with no lucky (so would like some help please) ive followed all the guides ive read (on this forum and others - which are all similar) but all of my games come up as "DISC UNREADABLE", 1 even booted up and installed an XBL Disc Update - but it never played the game just DISC UNREADBALE, majority of my games do come up saying "PLAY GAME" on the Xbox Dashboard - so not sure where im going wrong. Heres some info of my 360 and PC: 360 Info: Xbox 360 Core DVD Drive = Hitachi Hacked Firmware = Xtreme / Ixtreme (cant remember) PC Info: HP Pavilion A6325.uk DVD Drive = HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GSA H60L DVD Drive Firmware = 6.0.6001.18000 Booktype / Bitsetting Changable = YES Firmware Update = None Available (apparently) Program Used: Imgburn 2.4.1.0 Booktype = DVD-Rom Layer Break = 1913760 Burn Speed = 2.4x / 4.0x Media Used: Anone Verbatim (Singapore) Bulkpaq (printable) The person im currently getting 360 games from uses Bulkpaq discs (and play fine in my iextreme console - so i know they work) and one of my brothers mates games are another "unknown brand" - ive tried a full 5 disc pack of verbs and a 8 discs of anone, but they havent worked. The only thing i havent tried to do is to burn the game using just the ISO and not the DVD file - but apart from that ive tried everything and still wont work. - help please =(
make sure your burner FW is up-to-date. other than that some burners simply cannt burn a 360 game correctly.
Sounds as though your going the right way about it. Only other i can think of is your are not burning a stealthed game and you have ixtreme firmware. Try testing the .iso in xdvdmulleter or xbc before burning to see if its ixtreme compatible, make sure to check the box to compare stealth files to online database.
Ok so it seems you are having the same issue as me. But on my Xbox 360 it says the error "Unplayable disc" Is that the same thing or is it actually unreadable? the thing about my xbox is i can put the game in and out of the xbox several times and it will finally play it. Bad thing is...i have to do it like 50 times to get it to work once so i guess you can see the problem. My question to ask is it my burner? I have a HITACHI DVD-ROM GD-2500. You think i should just buy the new burner to do it? The pinoneer 115d or something like that? Any suggestions would be helpfull. Thank you.
Don't do that. The .DVD file tells where to drive to do layerbreak. If you burn without .dvd, = instant coaster. What kind of drive is a "HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GSA H60L"
The ISO's i have tried are all Xtreme and Ixtreme compatible (my 360 is Xtreme firmware). Regarding the burning ISO instead of DVD file Imgburn is set to the correct layer break anyway (so that shouldnt matter). HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GSA H60L is a Hitachi/ LG Drive (Dual-layered), using DVD+R DL Discs (Verbatim (Singapore Made) and Bulkpaq (same discs as the guy i know uses)). The Drive's bitsetting can also be changed (which i set to DVD-ROM before burning). From what im aware of my drive's firmware is up to date....(tried updating and says firmware is latest one and tried browsing the net but no luck.)
Hey your in luck I would guess I have the exact same computer and DVD DL Drive and I just burnt my 1st xbox 360 game ever today after learning only 2 days ago And the programs I used were Xbox Backup Creator and DVD Decrypter (then follow this youtube guide) and the DVD DL Drive in our pc is an LG when using DVD Decrypter
Hi Just curious the person you get your games from is he a mate or just someone you buy from just havin so much trouble trying to do it myself if there is someone selling I would be def buying?
i dont think ive tried using DVD Decrypter to burn games - so ill give it a try, however ive tried VERBATIM Discs with IMGBurn and it didnt work - i know i can burn Dual Layered DVDs as i ripped and burned some DVDs for a friend.
well its a mate of my bros but his uncle copies/burns em - only ever got a few off him (borrowed). their was one guy i bought 2 Games off ebay (but lost his e-mail addy lol).
